Roselle Collins
PENCIL DRAWING ARTIST
I am a Northumberland based coloured pencil artist. Whilst I admire and marvel at the skill of others who create wonderful paintings, I have always been drawn to pencils and I love creating portraits with the many colours now available with professional coloured pencils.
I have lived with dogs of different shapes and sizes, starting with a Miniature Schnauzer when I was a child. I currently live with two very young (and very delinquent!) collie/whippet crosses. Fortunately they have learned to be calm and quiet when I am drawing!
My dogs have always been very important to me and very much loved and I know how precious our pets are to us. I am so pleased to be able to offer special portraits of much loved pets, which can be cherished for life.
When we gave a photo of our family to Roselle, we had no idea that her drawing of them would be so incredibly lifelike. She caught their expressions exactly! We were utterly amazed!
Every day when we see her drawing up on the wall we never fail to marvel at her immense skill and artistry.
THE PICTURE IS AMAZING!!!!!!!! You are brilliant. The drawing arrived today, very quickly, given the circumstances, all intact, beautifully and carefully packaged, the packaging was completely intact, and the drawing in perfect condition. How can I thank you enough? When I opened it, it brought tears to my eyes. So beautiful.
I first saw Roselle’s work online and was so impressed. I sent a photograph to her of my English Pointer and when I received the portrait, I was so impressed. It was not only the quality of the drawing but also that she had captured my dog’s personality. I commissioned the work for my husband’s birthday and he just loved it. My nephew has now requested a drawing of his Labrador.
I am so grateful to Roselle for the beautiful drawing of my sensitive giant Charlie. A horse’s eye is the window to their soul, and Roselle has captured his soul perfectly.
What a stunning likeness. Roselle has captured with delicacy and beauty the character of our much beloved collie. What a privilege it is to have Blaise’s picture on the wall as well as her fur on the floor! Amazing!
